Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.

Mikael Sigvardsson, PhD, head of the Cell Differentiation Group (Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory, Stem Cell Institute) received a prestigious 6 year "Researcher" position from Swedish Research Council in a very competitive field of Developmental Biology. The position starts from January 1, 2004.

Ewa Sitnicka, PhD (Hematopoietic Stem cell Laboratory, Stem Cell Institute) received a 4 year "Scientist" position from Cancerfonden (only one awarded this year). The position starts from January 1, 2004.

Olle Lindvall, MD, PhD, Head of the Laboratory of Neurogenesis and Cell Therapy, was one of 7 scientists in Medicine awarded a prestigious "Excellent Scientist" grant from Swedish Research Council.
